6 out of 10 married Russian women believe that their husbands’ income is not enough for them to support their family alone, showed survey Superjob Research Center. At the same time, only one in three (31%) is ready to become a housewife if the husband’s earnings increase to such a level that it will be enough for the needs of all household members. Among those women whose husbands already earn enough, the willingness to give up a career for the sake of a family is even lower (15%). Most often, Russian women with an income of up to 50 thousand rubles expressed their desire to devote themselves to household chores. per month (34% among those whose husbands cannot support their family alone and 18% among those who can).

It is noteworthy that the survey was also conducted among men. Every fourth respondent (26%) stated their readiness to become a housewife with a well-earning wife.
