Moskalkova will appeal to the UK because of the video with the possible execution of the former fighter of PMC “Wagner”

Human Rights Ombudsman in Russia Tatyana Moskalkova intends to appeal to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation because of the video of the alleged execution of a former Wagner PMC fighter. About this she informed RBC.

“Extrajudicial executions are unacceptable and, of course, they need to be checked,” Moskalkova said.

Earlier today, on February 13, a video was published on the network, which tells how ex-fighter of Wagner PMC Dmitry Yakushchenko was in the combat zone, and later voluntarily surrendered and declared his desire to fight against the Russian army.

In the next frame, allegedly Yakushchenko himself appears, he says that in Dnipro he was hit on one of the streets, after which the military man lost consciousness. Further, the unknown hits the fighter on the head with a sledgehammer.

Founder of Wagner PMC Evgeny Prigozhin urged “not to perceive everything so sadly,” his press service reports in Telegram. He noted that the “film about Yakushchenko” is similar to “Seventeen Moments of Spring”, and added that “he can share the next series.” In conclusion, he urged to remember that “good will always triumph over evil.”

In November 2022, another video of the alleged execution of former Wagner PMC fighter Yevgeny Nuzhin, who voluntarily defected to the enemy, was also published on the Gray Zone channel. In the video, he is also hit on the head with a sledgehammer. Commenting on this incident, Prigozhin said that Nuzhin “did not find happiness in Ukraine.” The founder of Wagner called the video “Death to a dog for a dog.”

Then Moskalkova statedthat investigators proceeded to verify this video. She stressed that “any cruelty and wrongfulness requires the intervention of the state.” Prigozhin sent a statement to Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov, in which he stated that Wagner PMC was not involved in the kidnapping and execution of Nuzhin.
