Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that no restrictive measures are planned to be introduced in Moscow.
In my personal blog Sergei Sobyanin gave clarifications in connection with the decrees signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin “On the introduction of martial law in the territories of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Luhansk People’s Republic, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions” and “On measures taken in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in connection with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated October 19, 2022 No. 756”.
“In pursuance of these Decrees, we will take the necessary measures to improve the security of civilian facilities and life support facilities,” the mayor said in a statement. “At the same time, I must say that at present no measures are being introduced to limit the normal rhythm of the city’s life.”
Sergei Sobyanin also clarified that the tasks of ensuring the stability of the economy, security measures, coordination of forces and means of response, civil defense, protection from emergencies and the like in Moscow will be solved mainly in working mode.
