Polling stations for the capital mayoral elections have opened in Moscow. Deputy Chairman of the Moscow City Election Commission Dmitry Reut told RIA Novosti that everything is going as normal.
“The election monitoring headquarters in Moscow is working, our polling stations have opened… The video broadcast is working, but we are also working, we are not sleeping,”— told Head of the Public Headquarters for Observing the Elections in Moscow in 2023 Vadim Kovalev. According to him, 100% of observers from the Public Chamber have already registered at the polling stations.
In 2023, elections in most regions will take place over three days and begin today, September 8. The main voting day will be September 10. Elections of senior officials are planned in 21 constituent entities, as well as additional elections of State Duma deputies in four vacant single-mandate constituencies.
