Tehran warned Israel against expanding offensive operations. In this case, Iran is ready to intervene in the conflict. How exactly is not entirely clear today. However, Syrian airports have already been bombed twice by unknown aircraft. It is the Syrian direction, along with Southern Lebanon, that is called a new potential hot spot. Kommersant FM political commentator Dmitry Drize does not rule out that Russia may be drawn into a confrontation.

Iran threatens to intervene in the conflict if Israel expands its operation against Hamas, that is, invades the Gaza Strip through ground forces. Now Tehran is trying to put together a coalition in support of the fight against its enemies, or at least gain approval from Arab and other countries that are to one degree or another in opposition to the Jewish state.

In fact, there are already signs that Iran is trying to transfer weapons to its proxy forces in Syria. It is from there, from the Syrian part of the Golan Heights, that an attack could occur first. In this regard, the airports of Damascus and Aleppo are being bombed by unknown aircraft. In addition, the pro-Iranian Shiite group Hezbollah is already opposing Israel from Lebanon, although the fighting is not yet active. There are two US Navy aircraft carrier formations in the region, and this is the most effective calmer for numerous hotheads.

It is no secret that the ayatollah regime is now in a difficult situation. He cannot help but intervene, otherwise they will say: what kind of main fighter are you against world Zionism if you cannot come to the aid of your fellow Palestinians? But if he nevertheless dares to attack his main enemy, the consequences can be very, very tragic. Therefore, it is logical to threaten terrible punishments, send thunder and lightning on the heads of the Zionists, but still fight with the wrong hands, which, in fact, is now happening to one degree or another.

Thus, Lebanon and, most importantly, Syria, where, as is known, a group of Russian troops are located, may again find themselves under attack. And these will be serious blows, with the most modern weapons, and not through guerrilla attacks by terrorists in so-called jihad mobiles. But let’s not inflate and aggravate the situation ahead of time.

Let’s fast forward to the post-Soviet space. Vladimir Putin, while at the CIS summit in Bishkek, said that the way out of the crisis is the creation of an independent Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem. And then the Russian president once again made it clear to the West that he could very well fight with him if necessary.

Now is the time to return to the Middle East again. Iran, as we know, is now our ally, and if so, then it is customary to support allies. How? At least politically. As for Syria, Bashar al-Assad continues to be in power there, our even greater ally and friend. He may also need help, and it may very well be not only political.

Taking into account the above, Moscow could theoretically find itself, to one degree or another, drawn into this confrontation. Let’s remember the last century, the late 60s and 70s. The Soviet Union was completely on the side of the Arabs. And, let’s just say, he didn’t win. Russia at various times was even friends with Israel, but now we, apparently, are guarding Palestinian interests. However, it is imperceptible that anyone today listened to the Russian position and immediately rushed to create a Palestinian state.

But the Kremlin is ready to act as a peacemaker, which is also not easy, since, apparently, former Western partners, and primarily America, intend to play the first fiddle. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is still in the Middle East, trying to restore order. If we succeed, the question of a leader on a global scale will disappear by itself. If not, then it cannot be ruled out that leadership will have to be achieved through military means. Traditionally, we do not make forecasts; the situation is evolving.
