By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, 2022-2031 has been declared the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia. The purpose of the Decade is to ensure the competitiveness of Russia in the world market of high technologies and guarantees of technological sovereignty and economic security of the country. The main objectives of the Decade are to attract talented young people to the field of research and development, to involve experienced specialists in solving the most important technical problems for the country, and to popularize the achievements of scientists. In the field of medicine, the results of the first year of the Decade are summed up at the International Scientific and Practical Forum “Russian Health Week-2022” that opened at the Expocentre Fairgrounds. The international forum “Russian Health Week” is the largest comprehensive project in the field of medicine and health protection, covering almost the entire industry, including equipment production, science and practical medicine.

The international exhibition “Health care, medical equipment and drugs” is one of the central events of the forum “Russian Health Week”. This is a unique exhibition project, which for three decades has been and remains the main event in the field of healthcare for specialists in Russia and foreign countries. The forum is traditionally included in the plan of scientific and practical events of the Ministry of Health of Russia and in the consolidated plan for the participation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

The organizers are the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and Expocentre JSC. The forum is held with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

Zdravookhraneniye is the largest and most famous exhibition of medical equipment, consumables and medical products in Russia. Taking into account the current situation, when the country is faced not only with the development of healthcare, but also with the prompt provision of the functioning of the medical industry under sanctions restrictions, it is expected that Russian Health Week 2022 will become a platform both for making serious decisions in various areas, and for promotion of innovative developments, which, of course, corresponds to the goals of the Decade of Science and Technology.

About 650 participants from Belarus, Germany, Iran, India, Kazakhstan, China, Cuba, Lebanon, Russia, Turkey are represented on 50 thousand square meters of exhibition space. Collective expositions represent 39 regions of Russia.

For the first time, Russian Export Center JSC presents a collective exposition of Russian companies manufacturing medical equipment and equipment under the Made in Russia brand, and also takes an active part in the business program, developing a discussion about supporting the export of Russian technologies to promising foreign markets.
