Moscow electronic school will be integrated into the federal system “My School”

The Moscow E-School is a unique educational platform that includes about 1.7 million educational materials, in particular, lesson scenarios, interactive applications, tutorials, video consultations, and self-diagnostics. In a word, this is a gigantic educational layer that can be used by both students and teachers.

And so the Federal Ministry of Education decided to integrate the MES system into the state information system “My School”. What can this give to all Russian schools? Firstly, teachers throughout the country will have the opportunity to use the huge amount of reference information that is available in the MES. Secondly, students will be able to test their knowledge using the many forms of self-assessment that are available on the platform. Thirdly, secondary educational institutions in Russia will use the electronic diary, electronic journal and other MES tools.

RIA Novosti hosted a press conference dedicated to the results of the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Government of Moscow, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation on the use of MES technological solutions in the formation of the FSIS “My School”. According to the minister of the government of the capital, head of the Department of Education and Science Alexander Molotkov, the signed agreement allows all the developments that are already operating in the capital to be implemented in the state information system.

— MES has been working in the capital to the full extent since 2017. And, if at first it was considered as a tool to help the teacher organize a face-to-face lesson, then over time, more and more services designed for students and their parents began to appear in it, – said Alexander Molotkov. – Today, MES is an electronic journal, an updated electronic diary, a system for enrolling in circles, and a “student portfolio” and “teacher portfolio” service. It is also a huge library of electronic materials created by teachers and professional developers. All materials are subject to strict moderation before entering the MES and in the public domain. The ten-year path of development that the Moscow e-school has already passed will help the federal information system “My School” to develop successfully.

According to the Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Science Natalya Kiseleva, it is very important that the electronic journal and electronic diary will be available to all teachers and students in the country.

“Such services are a serious ecosystem that starts from the moment a child enters school, serves as a means of recording the achievements of students, when the child himself can see what results he has on certain topics, and what needs to be improved,” says Natalya Kiseleva. — In addition, the system allows parents to choose meals for their child at school and pay for it through a card, and provides integration with a medical card in a polyclinic. If the student is not in class, the teacher sees if the child is officially sick or absent for some other reason. Thus, there is a constant monitoring of student attendance at school.

FSIS “My School” is a single “data mart” for the teacher, student and parent. It contains high-quality, verified digital content, in constant access – the schedule and homework, it is possible to undergo diagnostics and determine your level of knowledge. In addition, on the platform, students will be able to communicate with friends, classmates and teachers.
