Moscow’s city services have been put on high alert due to thunderstorms and downpours expected on Friday, Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov said.
The wind in Moscow, according to weather forecasters, will increase to 17 meters per second, and in some areas up to 25 millimeters of precipitation will fall, that is, more than a third of the monthly norm in June.
1.5 thousand emergency teams, according to Biryukov, are on duty around the clock and will be ready to go to the place of falling trees, damage to power lines and other events of this kind.
