Moscow companies help livestock farmers by creating original devices

There are more than 4.2 thousand industrial sites in the capital. They are also used to create devices useful for agriculture. For example, disease monitoring systems and RFID tags.

“It is important for the capital to maintain a high rate of industrial growth in manufacturing, which last year amounted to 22.3% (excluding oil refining). To achieve this, the authorities provide enterprises with a number of anti-crisis tools and more than 20 systemic support measures. Among them are preferential loans and compensation that help industrialists save their own funds and direct them to their development – expansion of production and assortment,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. In particular, he noted the RFID products company ISBC, which benefited from city support last year. This made it possible to increase the production of electronic ear tags for farm animals by 20%.

The design of the products reduces the negative effect of attaching the tag. RFID tags are made of polyurethane. And the manufacturer of FSD diagnostic and disease monitoring systems in medicine, dairy farming and poultry farming, a resident of the Mosmedpark technology park, was able to successfully complete the first stage of testing a cattle health monitoring system. Studies have shown that it will reduce the incidence of diseases in animals by 20–50%.
