The Moscow City Court sentenced thief in law Rashad Ismailov (Ganja) to 21 years in a strict regime colony for the murder of two people. This was announced by the representative of the Investigative Committee of the RF Investigative Committee for Moscow, Yulia Ivanova.
Ismailov was found guilty of murdering two or more people in a generally dangerous way, illegal arms trafficking and occupying the highest position in the criminal hierarchy.
The murder took place in May 2009. It was established that Ismailov and his accomplice shot a parked car near a cafe on Izmailovsky Highway, in which there were two other crime bosses. They died on the spot.
Ismailov received the title of thief in law in 2013, he controlled the common fund, the thieves’ treasury. In 2018, he was detained in Minsk. A Belarusian court convicted him of possession of drugs, weapons and a fake passport. Ismailov was sentenced to ten years in prison, but was later handed over to Russia to investigate his other crimes.
