Moscow City Court confirms extension of arrest for WSJ journalist Gershkovich in espionage case
The Moscow City Court has approved an extension of the arrest for The Wall Street Journal correspondent Evan Gershkovich accused of espionage. Earlier, the term of detention until August 30 was approved by the Lefortovsky District Court.
“The appeal of the defense (to be left) without satisfaction,” the court’s decision says.
The hearings were held behind closed doors, as the materials of the criminal case are classified.
