The VI World Games of Young Compatriots began in Moscow, continuing the tradition that began in 2015. Similar competitions are organized for children of Russian-speaking diasporas abroad.
The current starts brought together about 400 participants aged 12 to 14 years. Together with the Russians, envoys from Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Egypt, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Serbia, Syria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, South Ossetia perform at them. It is worth noting that regional school championships were held in the DPR and LPR, the winners of which received the right to travel to Moscow.
The schedule of the VI World Games for Young Compatriots includes basketball in the 3 × 3 format, volleyball, table tennis, mini-football and chess. But the children are also waiting for the intellectual game “Dialogues in Russian”, during which they will be able to demonstrate their knowledge regarding literature, history, geography, and our country. Volunteers of the program “Ambassadors of the Russian Language in the World” help to make the stay of guests as comfortable as possible.
