Nofaultless record for Janja Garnbret in the Climbing World Cup this season. The Slovenian, at home on the Koper wall, has not won a fifth consecutive success this year. The Slovenian stage was won by 18-year-old Japanese Mori Ai, who returned to competition for the first time in three years, following a break devoted to her studies.
This is the first time that Olympic champion Garnbret has not won an event this season (five World Cup victories, four in difficulty and one in bouldering and three European titles) but she remains the strong overall leader of the World Cup.
For her first final of the season, the Frenchwoman Hélène Janicot took eighth place.
Among the men, at home, Luka Potocar won for the second time in his career in the World Cup, ahead of the Swiss Sascha Lehmann. No French had qualified for the final.
The next stage will be Edinburgh, from September 9 to 11 with difficulty and speed.
