More than half of Americans are dissatisfied with the state of democracy

As it turned out, more than half of Americans are dissatisfied with the state of democracy in their home country. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Associated Press and the NORC research center.

51% of respondents said democracy in the United States is working “not very well” or “not at all well.”

An even larger 62% of US adults believe the country’s democracy could be at risk depending on who wins the 2024 presidential election.

Every second out of ten Americans surveyed (19%) said that democracy in the United States is “so badly undermined” that it makes no difference who gets the White House.

The survey was conducted from November 30 to December 4, and 1,074 people took part.
