More than a thousand Novgorod residents took advantage of the right to a “sports” deduction

Since January 2022, 1,087 residents of the region have taken advantage of the right to a “sports” deduction in the amount of 3.7 million rubles. Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Novgorod Region Elena Kirilova spoke about this at a meeting in Moscow with First Deputy Minister of Sports of Russia Azat Kadyrov.
During the meeting, the development of sports infrastructure, the involvement of citizens in the physical education movement, as well as tax deductions for sports activities were discussed, Kirilova said on her page on the VKontakte social network.
It is noted that from January 1, 2024, the “sports” deduction procedure will become simpler and more accessible to citizens. The maximum amount of expenses for which a deduction is provided will increase to 150 thousand rubles. In the Novgorod region, 41 organizations are accredited where citizens can claim a deduction for playing sports.
Previously “MK in Veliky Novgorod” reportedthat the Department of Physical Culture and Sports named places where residents of the regional center can go skiing.
