More than 80 skiers competed for medals on the second day of the Druzhba Championship on Sakhalin

The championship of the Sakhalin Region and the championship in cross-country skiing for the Friendship prizes continue on the tracks of the Triumph ski and biathlon complex in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. This was reported in the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports.
On the second day of the competition, more than 80 athletes from Poronaysk, Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalinsky, Makarov, Kholmsk, Aniva, Tomari, Okha, Korsakov, Noglik, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, as well as Moscow and Yakutsk competed for awards.
Skiers had to show their strength in the freestyle race. Girls born in 2007-2008 expected a distance of 5 km. Girls born in 2005-2006, women born in 2004 and older, as well as boys born in 2007-2008 performed on a 10-kilometer stretch. Boys born in 2005-2006, as well as men born in 2004 and older ran 15 km.
According to the results of the competition in the junior age category, Victoria Ilyushenko (16:50.9) and Sergey Slyusarenko (27:15.6) won. The second places were taken by Dayana Sukhareva (17:23.6) and Ilya Fedorov (29:41.4). Sofya Zolotukhina (18:03.6) and Ilya Tolstyakov (29:45.7) rounded out the top three.
Yulia Zavyalova (31:25.5) and Timur Ekimov (41:40.3) became the fastest among athletes born in 2005-2006. The second results were shown by Veronika Drobitko (34:45.0) and Maxim Surkov (43:00.2). Honorary third places were taken by Diana Aladinskaya (35:24.8) and Denis Norin (46:42.3).
Uliana Nikolova (31:33.5) and Maxim Kosarev (39:29.1) became the race leaders in the senior age group. Kristina Petrova (38:13.7) and Ivan Kustov (39:32.2) finished second. Natalia Lvova (39:44.6) and Ivan Derevtsov (39:47.0) climbed to the third steps of the podium.
