More than 6 thousand violators of migration legislation were identified in Moscow

The Moscow Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that during the raid, police identified more than 6 thousand people who had violated migration laws. 836 foreign citizens will be expelled from the country.
“More than 4.5 thousand protocols were drawn up under Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of the rules of entry or stay in the country), over 500 under Article 18.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of the rules of stay of stateless persons) and more than 350 under Article 18.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (illegal labor activity foreign citizens),” the department clarified (quote from “MVD Media”).
During the raid, as the Ministry of Internal Affairs added, 22 people were identified who were wanted. In addition, 192 criminal cases have been initiated, including for organizing illegal entry (Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), fictitious registration of migrants (Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and forgery of documents (Article 327.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
502 employers were also brought to administrative responsibility. In total, the police examined more than 10 thousand housing, trade, construction and public catering facilities.
Migration checks have become more frequent in different regions of Russia after the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall on March 22. As part of the criminal case, 11 people were detained, including 4 alleged terrorists who have Tajik citizenship.
