Over the past day, 59,035 cases of coronavirus have been detected in Russia. This is 5.18% more than the day before (56,126), as well as the maximum since March 8. 4,178 people were hospitalized, which is 1.7% more than the day before (4,108), the federal operational headquarters for combating COVID-19 said.
Regions leading in the number of new cases:
- Moscow – 8799 (all time – 3,134,102),

During the day, 110 cases died in the country, which is 11 people more than the previous indicator (99). Most of the dead were in Moscow (31) and St. Petersburg (21). The total number of deaths reached 385,837. During the day, 50,020 people recovered, in total – 19,294,876.
Since July, the incidence of COVID-19 has been on the rise in Russia. In August, Roszdravnadzor recommended resuming vaccination against coronavirus infection in regions with a high incidence rate. As shown VTsIOM poll, 55% of Russians are afraid of getting sick with coronavirus. Analytical Center NAFI informedthat 7% of Russians are ready to wear medical masks in public places with cold symptoms.
