More than 350 thousand people were left without electricity in the Rostov region after a fire at the state district power station

In the Rostov Region, after a fire at the Novocherkassk State District Power Plant, which has already extinguished, power supply is limited to about 364 thousand consumers. This was announced by Governor Vasily Golubev in his Telegram channel.
“As of 16:00 in the Rostov region, approximately 364 thousand consumers were limited,”— informed Mr. Golubev, noting that the restrictions did not affect particularly significant social facilities. The power supply to consumers will be restored in the coming hours, the commissioning of the disconnected power units of the state district power station will be carried out in stages around the clock, the governor also said.
Novocherkasskaya GRES is located in the Donskoy microdistrict of the city of Novocherkassk. It is the main source of electricity generation in the Rostov region, is part of PJSC OGK-2.
Information about the fire was received by 13:41it was eliminated in 16:26. As a result of fire suffered three employees of the station, they are hospitalized.
