60 thousand families (a total of over 340 thousand people) applied to participate in the “This is our family” competition, said First Deputy of the Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko during a meeting of the competition’s supervisory board. About the launch of the program on September 1, 2023 announced Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the head of state, the family competition will contribute to the development of traditional values.

The co-organizers of the competition are Rosmolodezh and the Russian movement of children and youth “Movement of the First” with the participation of the “Knowledge” society and the ANO “More than a Journey”. Families consisting of four or more relatives can participate in the competition. Family team members must be citizens of the Russian Federation; such a team must have a participant under the age of 17 years. A mandatory condition is the presence of three generations in one team (children, parents, grandparents). It is expected that each family team will create and present its own project, during which intergenerational ties will be strengthened and family values ​​will be affirmed.

“Having announced the launch of the competition on September 1, the President of Russia said that this would be the most popular competition on the “Russia – Land of Opportunities” platform, and, as always, he was right. Today, 340 thousand people have registered to participate in it, and applications are being accepted until November 4,” said Mr. Kiriyenko. “Participation in the “It’s Our Family” competition gives families the opportunity to win 5 million rubles. to improve living conditions. An equally interesting prize is unique travel to the most beautiful and amazing places in the country. All family teams are absolutely amazing, they are a source of pride for Russia. The most important thing is that as a result of the competition, our entire large country learns about these people, their traditions and dynasties.”

At a meeting of the supervisory board, it was decided to lower the minimum participation age for the youngest from six to five years old and approved the first eight tasks of the distance stage. Registration for the competition runs until November 4th. After this, the remote stage will begin, which will last until January 2024. Then the semi-finals will be held in eight cities of different federal districts. 300 families will compete for prizes in the finals, which will be held in Moscow. Mr. Kiriyenko noted that the competition should have an educational effect, be useful and interesting for the family. As Kommersant previously reported, one of the ideological components of the upcoming presidential campaign will be the theme of the importance of family.
