More than 300 people have already registered for the TOP OF THE HILL race in Tchaikovsky

On May 27, the TOP OF THE HILL race will take place at the Snezhinka ski jumping complex in Tchaikovsky. Applications have already been submitted by 300 people, the Ministry of Sports of the Perm Territory reported.
The organizers noted that the Competitors will have to overcome the distance up the springboard. Such competitions on the basis of “Snezhinka” will be held for the eighth time. As the organizers explained, when running on a springboard, the height difference is comparable to climbing to the 62nd floor, and the slope is almost all the time 35 degrees: “The race will be held in the individual competition among men and women and in the team – mixed relay 4×100 meters.”
This year, according to preliminary estimates, about a thousand people will start the extreme race.
Both amateurs and famous athletes can compete in this race. In 2022, the world’s only eight-time winner of the Komrades ultramarathon Elena Nurgalieva and Olympic medalist, biathlon world champion Ivan Cherezov participated in TOP OF THE HILL. By tradition, teams of firefighters and enterprises will also run the distance this year.
Recall that the special relay race of firefighters was held for the first time in 2022. It became one of the most spectacular moments of the race: firefighters overcome the route in full gear.
