More than 200 people from all over Russia took part in IronSakh vol.7 on Sakhalin

The Sakhalin IronSakh vol.7 triathlon was held at the Lesnoye Ozero recreation center. 215 triathletes from 37 cities of Russia took part in the competition, the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region reported.

Athletes competed for speed and endurance in five disciplines – super sprint (swimming 300 m, cycling 8 km, running 2 km), sprint (750 m, 20 km, 5 km), “Olympic” (1.5 km, 40 km , 10 km), HALF (1930 m, 90 km, 21.1 km) and super sprint (for persons with PAD) (300 m, 8 km, 2 km).

Before the start of the competition, Stanislav Tyurin, Deputy Minister of Sports of the island region, addressed the participants and fans with a welcoming speech.

According to the results of the performance of triathletes in the shortest discipline “Super-sprint”, the places were distributed as follows.

Among men in the age category of 18-49 years, Victor Usov from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk won the first place.

“The distance was very difficult, but at the same time it was very cool to overcome it. This year I am participating in the super sprint because I set a goal to reach the time in 30 minutes. I can’t say yet whether it worked or not. Three years ago I participated in this discipline and became the third, so today I took revenge, ”said triathlete Viktor Usov.

Maxim Lokeenko (Korsakov) took the second place, Anatoly Zabolotsky (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) closed the top three. At the age of 50 years and older, Vladimir Surmin (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) was the first, Viktor Novikov (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) was the second, Rafis Azmukhametov (Vladivostok) was third.

Among women in the age range of 18-49 years, Irina Duvanova (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) climbed to the highest step of the podium, Svetlana Kuzmina (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) won silver, Leonida Karmaz from Okha became the third. Elena Surmina (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) won gold among women aged 50 and over.

Ruslan Vakhitov from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk in the discipline “Super-sprint” for persons with lesions of the musculoskeletal system became the only participant in this category. The athlete showed a high result of passing the track.

In the women’s sprint 18-49 years old, Svetlana Kolesnikova (Ilyinskoye) won a confident victory, Varvara Piskunova (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) took second place, and Yulia Lukyanova (Ussuriysk) was third. At the age of 50 years and older, Yana Troshchinskaya (Vladivostok) and Irina Molchanova (Korsakov) took first and second places, respectively.

Among men in the sprint in the age category of 18-49 years, the gold medal went to Ilya Dmitryuk from Ussuriysk.

“I have been competing in triathlon for four years now. During this time, I managed to compete in such competitions as IRONMAN in Shanghai, IRONSTAR semi-iron triathlon in Sochi, IRONMAN in Dubai, IRONSTAR in Kaliningrad. Interestingly, it is very difficult to run everywhere, but on Sakhalin the distances are easier. I think the pleasant climate, clean air and the beauty of your wonderful island have an effect,” said Ilya Dmitryuk, the best triathlon sprinter.

Evgeny Karpov from Vladivostok showed a silver result, a bronze medal went to Evgeny Telina (Nakhodka). Among athletes aged 50 and over, Oleg Kolmogorov (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) celebrated the victory, Anatoly Martynko (Vladivostok) was in second place, Vladimir Skudnevsky (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) closed the top three.

In the “Olympic” discipline for men aged 18-39, there was no equal to Evgeny Valiev from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

“I wanted to participate in the HALF discipline, but there was no time to prepare for such a serious distance, so I chose the Olympic. I like that every year the level of training of rivals is growing. There is serious competition from athletes from other regions of the country, but it’s cool!” – said the gold medalist of the competition Evgeny Valiev.

The second place was taken by Roman Trubetskoy (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk), Alexey Mineev (Rostov-on-Don), this time the third. Among men aged 40-49 Alexey Bozhenko (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) took the first place, Alexander Khaymurzin (Blagoveshchensk) took the second place, Ruslan Gizatulin (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) took the third place. Albert Arteev from South Sakhalin, aged 50-59, won the gold medal, Sergei Grebenyuk (Korsakov) won the silver medal, and Roman Maidonov (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) took bronze. Among the most experienced athletes (60 years and older) Anatoly Moskvichev (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) showed the first result, the second place went to Alexei Malashich (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk).

Among the women competing in the Olympic discipline, aged 18-39, Sofya Ostanina from Blagoveshchensk won the first place, the second was Kristina Ziganshina from Vladivostok. At the age of 40 years and older, Nina Kazimirova (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) showed the best passing time, followed by Elena Burikova and Olga Ovsyannikova (both from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) in the final protocol.

In the most difficult long discipline of HALF, the athletes overcame the distance, the total duration of which was 113 kilometers 30 meters.

In this discipline, among men in the age range of 18-39 years, gold is in the piggy bank of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Kirill Smirnov.

“You can call me the watchdog of the Sakhalin triathlon, I have been participating since the very first IronSakh, since 2016. I always choose hardcore, long disciplines, because most of all I like to overcome myself and test my abilities,” said triathlon gold medalist Kirill Smirnov.

The silver medal was given to Roman Gushchin from Irkutsk, Dmitry Stupachuk (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) won the bronze medal. At the age of 40-49 Anton Vydrov (Blagoveshchensk) took the first place, Alexey Shlyakhov (Vladivostok) took the second place, Efim Kaplina (Bataysk) took the third place. Among men aged 50-59, Dmitry Gubanov (Blagoveshchensk) won, Stanislav Del (Komsomolsk-on-Amur) came second. In the age category of 60 years and older, Sergey Deryugin from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was recognized as the best.

Among women aged 18-39 in the HALF discipline, Tatyana Plyasunova from Moscow took the first place, Ekaterina Gubarenko (St. Petersburg) took the second place, Elena Zheleznyak (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) closed the top three. At the age of 40 and older, Natalya Lvova showed the best time, followed by Svetlana Vlasenko (both from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) in the final protocol.

“I am glad to see smiles and joy from the distances covered on the faces of the triathlon participants. Today we will sum up the overall standings of the Asia-Pacific Super Bowl. Sports clubs and teams started fighting for it at the beginning of the summer season. We had three stages in Primorye, the fourth and final one was IronSakh,” said Denis Ivanyuk, Executive Director of the Triathlon and Polyathlon Federation of Primorsky Krai.

According to the results of all stages of the Super Cup, the first place was taken by the sports club IronWay (Ussuriysk), the second place was taken by the Asian Pacific team of league triathlon (APTLT) (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk), and the Iron Team CLUB (Vladivostok) became the third.

At the awards ceremony, the names of the winners and prize-winners in the individual competition were announced. It is they who will defend their region in October this year at the IRONSTAR sports festival, which will be held in Sochi. Athletes received well-deserved awards from the President of the Primorsky Territory Triathlon and Polyathlon Federation Evgeny Karpov. Among women, Kristina Ziganshina and Elena Burikova took first and second place, respectively. Among men, gold belongs to Alexei Shlyakhov, silver to Alexander Vorobyov.
