In Nigeria, more than 200 Boko Haram militants have surrendered to government forces in the province of Borno. According to the military, the jihadists were forced to lay down their arms because they were defeated in hostilities with the Islamic State (banned in the Russian Federation).
Surrendered terrorists claim that IS militants carried out a series of counter-attacks and destroyed several places of permanent residence of the BH.
Earlier, Boko Haram, under the command of the new leader of the group, Ibrahim Bakura Doro, unleashed a successful military campaign against competitors in northeastern Nigeria.
However, after the regrouping of the ISIS, apparently, it was able to deliver a tangible blow to the BH. Also, unconfirmed information about the elimination of Doro appeared on the network.
