Emergency shutdown of water in the resort city of Kislovodsk is associated with an accident on the pipeline laid from the Eshkakon reservoir. about this in his Telegram channel wrote the head of the region Vladimir Vladimirov.

He clarified that the leak occurred on the territory of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic in the area of the Eshkakon River and emergency teams are already working on the spot.

The head of the administration of Kislovodsk, Vladimir Moiseev, in his Telegram channel explained that 15 thousand people remain without water.

More than 100 streets, sanatoriums, social facilities, including the city hospital, fall under the shutdown. A leak on the water main was discovered on the night of today, April 26. According to Mr. Moiseev, specialists and equipment are working at the accident site. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of April 26, and the system will be fully filled by tomorrow morning.

In August 2021, the cold water supply was already turned off in the city “for technical reasons” – due to heavy rains and mudflows in the Eshkakon reservoir, the water became very cloudy. Then more than 137 thousand people were left without water. City water supply at that moment on an emergency basis reconnected to the reserve Kuban conduit.
