At the ski stadium named after V.S. Kuzina, in the village of Malye Karely, Primorsky district, regional roller ski competitions took place. It was dedicated to the memory of the 1956 Olympic champion, two-time world champion, and the first “King of Skis” in the history of world skiing, Vladimir Kuzin.

133 athletes from Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk, Novodvinsk, Velsk, Nyandoma, Konosha, Kholmogorsky and Vinogradovsky districts, and Primorsky district took to the start line. On the morning of the start there was ice on the roller ski track, so the organizing committee of the competition decided to postpone the start time, said Mikhail Shulgin.
The competition program includes freestyle races at distances of 3,5,10, 15 kilometers. Among the participants are boys and girls 17-18 years old, 15-16 years old, 13-14 years old, 11-12 years old, as well as men and women 19 years old and older.
