More than 10 billion rubles were allocated for the development of sports in the Murmansk region

Over the past five years (including 2023), over 10 billion rubles have been allocated for the development of sports in the Kola Arctic. In 2024, expenses are going to be approximately doubled, said the governor of the Murmansk region, Andrei Chibis, as part of an operational meeting.
Next year, spending on sports will amount to 3.5 billion rubles (increase by 1.6 billion rubles compared to the current year). In the region next year they also plan to create 23 new gyms and two sports and recreation centers in Murmansk.
In addition, the construction of a swimming pool in Severomorsk and the reconstruction of the Ice Palace in Olenegorsk will continue.
