Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, after meeting with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, explained to journalists why it was necessary to transfer troops to the east of the country. According to him, this is dictated by fears of penetration into Poland of fighters of PMC “Wagner” from Belarus.

“They can disguise themselves as illegal migrants in order to enter the territory of Poland,” Morawiecki said, adding that Wagner PMC fighters can also enter other NATO countries in a similar way.

The Polish prime minister believes that if the “Wagnerites” get into the country, they will be able to carry out acts of sabotage that could have “very dramatic consequences.”

Morawiecki noted that there are now several thousand Wagner fighters in Belarus and stressed that he had discussed this problem with Nauseda and they were ready to respond decisively to possible provocations.
