Monthly inflation in Russia accelerated to 0.37% in November

Monthly inflation in Russia in November amounted to 0.37% after 0.18% in October, follows from the materials of Rosstat. Annual inflation slowed to 11.98% from 12.63% a month earlier.

From the data of the statistical office it also follows that the growth of consumer prices by 0.5% or more was recorded in 23 subjects of the country. To the greatest extent – in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug – by 1.2%. At the same time, there was a decrease in consumer prices in the Tyumen region – by 0.3% and in the Novosibirsk region – by 0.1%. In Moscow, prices for the month increased by 0.3%, St. Petersburg – by 0.6%.

Over the past month, prices for fruits and vegetables have increased. Cucumbers went up by 32.5%, tomatoes – by 16.9%, oranges – by 9%, red beets – by 4.5%, grapes – by 3.7%, potatoes – by 2.8%. In addition, prices for salmon caviar increased by 2.4%, sterilized milk and cocoa – by 0.9-1.4%, canned meat, coffee in fast food organizations, green tea – by 0.5-0.8 %.

President Vladimir Putin earlier today declaredthat in Russia there is a noticeable trend towards a decrease in inflation, this trend is important not only for the Russian Federation, but also for the economies of other countries. At the same time, he noted that in all EU countries inflation rates are in double digits, and in some they “reach sky-high values ​​for the European economy.”

At the same time, Rosstat recorded an acceleration of inflation to 0.58% in the week from November 29 to December 5. At the same time, in the previous two weeks, consumer prices in Russia rose by 0.19% and 0.11%. Since the beginning of December, the price increase has amounted to 0.52%, since the beginning of the year – 11.71%, the department specified.

The Ministry of Economics earlier predicted inflation by the end of the year at 12.4%. A year earlier, this figure was 8.4%. It is assumed that in 2023 consumer price growth will be at the level of 5.5%, and in the future it will reach the target level of 4%.
