Schools in Sevastopol have declared Monday a day off due to water problems
In Sevastopol schools and colleges, the first day of the week has been declared a day off due to problems with water supply caused by floods and precipitation, Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said.
On Friday, due to heavy rainfall, dozens of houses and summer cottages were flooded in the city. Due to mudflows flowing into water intakes, waterworks were stopped. A time schedule for water supply has been maintained. The authorities organized the supply of water to the population.
A day off has been declared in schools, colleges and additional education institutions. “Kindergartens and hospitals continue to operate as normal,” Razvozhaev wrote in his Telegram channel.
The water continues to flow very dirty with debris, which has not allowed the waterworks to be completely filled. “More time is required for filtering,” the governor noted. “Specialists are working to restore normal supply as quickly as possible.”
