Moldovan Foreign Ministry Summons Russian Ambassador Due to Saldo’s Statement

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova summoned the Russian ambassador because of the statement of the acting head of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo, says in the message of the public relations adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Igor Zakharov.

“The Republic of Moldova strongly condemns the recent statements by the representative of the Russian Federation in Kherson <...> Such statements are absolutely unacceptable,” the adviser said in a statement. He noted that the Foreign Ministry “will not tolerate such expressions directed against the Republic of Moldova.”
The attacks on the bridge on the administrative border of the Kherson region and Crimea were carried out on the morning of June 22. The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that the Chongarsky bridge was attacked. Chairman of the State Council of the Republic Vladimir Konstantinov announced minor damage to the bridge, so its restoration will not take much time.
Representative of the military investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Russia declared RIA Novosti that Ukraine fired four missiles at the Chongarsky Bridge and noted that during the inspection of the scene, “elements of these missiles were seized, one of which has a marking on the nameplate indicating that this missile was manufactured in France.”
