Saudi football club Al Ittihad have prepared an improved offer for Liverpool striker Mohammed Salah. According to the Daily Mail, representatives of the Middle East club arrived in London for talks and offered a deal under which Liverpool could receive up to £ 215 million (€ 251 million) for the 31-year-old Egyptian striker. If the deal goes through, Salah’s move could be the most expensive transfer in history. So far, Neymar’s transfer from Barcelona to PSG in 2017 remains the same – the Brazilian cost the Parisians € 222 million. The base price for Salah is set at £ 170 million, and the payment of the rest of the amount depends on the achievement of a number of indicators in the new team.

Recall that last week, Liverpool rejected the offer of Al-Ittihad for £ 150 million, and the head coach of the English team, Jurgen Klopp, assured everyone that Salah does not want to go anywhere and remains devoted to the club. However, the Saudi side offers very attractive terms of a personal contract, which can make Salah at least think. In particular, he was promised £2.45 million a week, that is, more than £127 million a year. For comparison: now Salah receives £18 million a year. Also, the striker was promised £55,000 in bonuses for each victory and the role of the ambassador of three large Saudi companies at once. This could bring Salah another £18m a year.
