Governor of the Oryol region Andrey Klychkov during a live broadcast in social networks reported that the call for partial mobilization was suspended in the region. According to the head of the region, the mobilization has been suspended by decision of the Ministry of Defense.

“The day before yesterday, the last group of guys was sent, the call is not being carried out at the moment until a new task is received from the Ministry of Defense. So far, there are no additional teams,” said Mr. Klychkov. He clarified that those who received the summons should come to the military registration and enlistment office to clarify the data.

The governor also said that over the weekend he plans to visit a retraining center and military units in the Vladimir and Nizhny Novgorod regions, where residents of the region are located. He noted the logistical difficulties with people waiting for accommodation for a long time: “This is still not a sanatorium where there are hotel rooms. I think that it was possible to do without these costs.

President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization on 21 September. The authorities argued that those who served in the armed forces, have certain military specialties and relevant experience, will be subject to conscription first of all.
