Mobilization deferment is given for a year with the possibility of extension

By decision of the Interdepartmental Booking Commission, a deferral of mobilization can be received by citizens whose positions are not included in the list of deferrals. Among these Russians are employees of federal and territorial authorities. The grace period is one year, it can be extended, it is said in Telegram channel portal “Explain.rf”.
“The deferment is granted for up to 12 months and can be extended for a longer period in the same manner,” the message says.
In exceptional cases, managers and specialists can receive a deferment:
- executive authorities;
- local governments;
- organizations performing the most significant functions in wartime.
The Interdepartmental Booking Commission may decide to grant a deferment based on proposals from federal executive authorities, territorial commissions and local governments.
As part of partial mobilization, 300 thousand citizens who are in reserve will be called up. According to the Ministry of Defense, specialists in the banking and IT sectors, mobile operators and the media are not subject to mobilization. By decree of the President of the Russian Federation, students of full-time and part-time forms of education were also exempted from service.
