Kristina Orbakaite’s participation in the concert in honor of March 8 at the Kremlin Palace was disrupted due to anti-Russian statements by her mother Alla Pugacheva, claims “Moscow’s comsomolets”. According to the newspaper, the singer’s number was announced in the program, but at the last moment it was removed.

It was assumed that she was supposed to perform the song “Just Loving You” with Alexei Vorobyov. The repertoire and creative department of the State Concert Hall told RIA Novosti on March 4 that Kristina Orbakaite’s participation in the concert had not been confirmed. Among the artists announced on the site’s website who were scheduled to perform on March 7, her name was not included.

Alla Pugacheva repeatedly publicly spoke out against the fighting in Ukraine and after February 2022 emigrated from Russia together with her husband Maxim Galkin, whom the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation admitted a foreign agent in September of the same year. Afterwards, several concerts of Kristina Orbakaite were cancelled, including in Ulan-Ude and the cities of Siberia. At the beginning of February, the organizers canceled singer’s concert in Vladivostok. The performances of Maxim Galkin (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) were canceled in Kazakhstan And Thailand.
