Mizulina: students who left the meeting hurried to take their places in the photo zone

The daughter of former State Duma deputy and senator Elena Mizulina, Ekaterina, commented on a series of scandals related to her performances with lectures in a number of Russian universities. Previously, videos from such meetings with students appeared on social networks: some videos captured how young people were actively arguing with the activist and was even accused of “denunciations.” A video from Kazan University was also widely circulated, in which students began to leave the assembly hall in the midst of the guest’s speech.

From the statement in the telegram channel of the head of the “Safe Internet League” it follows that Kazan students were not at all opposed to her and boycotted the event, but on the contrary, they were so happy about her that they wanted to get a photo as a souvenir. Mizulina said that students rushed out of their seats and hurried to the photo zone to take pictures with the lecturer.

“That’s where the whole audience rushed,” she wrote, “when they heard that we were taking photos in a different place.”

Mizulina also reported that “there were an incredible number of people” at the lecture in Kazan, and “many with drawings and posters.”

To confirm her words, she published videos that showed several young men and women. Mizulina emphasized that reports from “some foreign agents” and the media about students boycotting the lecture are “fake.”
