Mishustin: the level of payment for housing and communal services must be justified

The level of payment for utilities and electricity requires an economic justification. About it stated Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with the head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service Maxim Shaskolsky.
“As for the level of payment for utilities and electricity, you are absolutely right in saying that it must be economically justified. To find a balance between the interests of service providers and large industrial, other enterprises and people, citizens who consume these resources,” Mishustin said.
In 2023, management companies promoted tariffs for housing services by an average of 3%. Considering that payments under management contracts for apartment buildings in most regions of the Russian Federation have not increased for many years, this increase does not compensate for the increase in prices for construction materials and work. As a result, the quality of work suffers, or expenses are covered by the residents.
