Mishustin spoke about his own recipe for bread and cooking scrambled eggs

And he admitted that he is more comfortable working with women

Bread, of course, is the head of everything. But as Mikhail Mishustin was convinced, they rule over him, none other than women. On the eve of March 8, the prime minister visited one of the Moscow bakeries, where he looked at how loaves and cheesecakes are made. It turned out that the prime minister also knows how to bake bread according to a special “Mishustin” recipe, and in life he has always been more comfortable working with women. “They are more calm, assiduous and non-conflict. And they are more professional in routine work,” he explained.

Mikhail Mishustin chose the right place for his pre-holiday visit. “Bread should be produced by a woman’s hand,” the employees of the bakery are sure. The General Director said that women in the company are not just the vast majority – it is they who occupy the most responsible and difficult positions. “Except for the CEO himself!” Mishustin drew attention. However, he was immediately assured that in this production such a position is far from the most difficult. Here, following the dough or organizing overnight delivery is a completely different matter.

Before the traditional tea party for this occasion, the prime minister was given a tour of the factory. First, they took me to a workshop where they make the most popular bread among Muscovites – a sliced ​​loaf. At the end of 2022, domestic coolers finally appeared at the enterprise – before, such equipment was purchased abroad.

The readiness of bread is checked by a thermometer: the temperature of the crumb should be 96 degrees. But you can’t cut a hot loaf into even pieces. “In coolers, it cools down to a temperature acceptable for slicing,” the prime minister was explained, not hiding the fact that electronics for new equipment still comes from foreign countries. But from friendly. Now the consumption of bread in Moscow is growing – according to the employees of the enterprise, this always happens in turbulent times – therefore, another line for the production of long loaves will soon appear at the plant.

Then there was a workshop for the production of brown bread and acquaintance with domestic know-how of 50 years ago. In order to form “bricks” of the same mass, the Kuzbass dough divider was invented in the Soviet Union, which until now specially “crashes” into production lines of foreign production, because local engineers could not come up with anything like that.

Looking at the fragrant loaves, Mikhail Mishustin shared with the head of the Ministry of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev a recipe for his own bread: a glass of water, yeast, sugar, an egg and sunflower oil. Let it brew on the window, and then in the oven for 30 minutes. As it turned out later, the prime minister also knows how to make pancakes and pancakes from flour. And he considers borscht and pilaf to be his signature dishes. “True, I haven’t cooked anything for a long time, but recently I had to make scrambled eggs,” Mishustin said.

Finally, in the third workshop, the head of the Cabinet managed to look into the digital future of the Russian baking industry, and observe the work of a cheesecake machine – a robot that saved as many as 8 people from routine work. The machine itself forms round blanks from the dough, makes a recess for the filling in them, fills this place with an egg and puts the curd mixture on top.

Two such installations send about 40 cheesecakes per minute to the oven, and if you tighten up, then all 60. Mishustin suggested using other technological innovations at the enterprise – for example, electric transport, which Moscow will produce as part of import substitution. “It is inexpensive, fast, and there are special benefits for buyers,” the prime minister recommended. Mishustin said that a special working group has been created in the government, which is thinking about how to ensure technological sovereignty in the bakery industry. To do this, in his opinion, it is necessary to introduce mechanisms that will encourage enterprises to install Russian experimental equipment similar to cheesecake machines.

The tea party with the employees of the enterprise was fun. Women told funny stories from their lives – for example, how they washed down their first loaf of champagne. Mishustin shared his memories of what kind of rolls he bought when returning from school, and how he unloaded bread in his student years. During the conversation, an idea arose of how to surprise Muscovites for Easter: one of the bakery workers, as it turned out, collects cookbooks, and her collection contains a recipe for Easter cake dated 1853. “Try to do it,” the prime minister asked.
