Mishustin signed a resolution on indexation of salaries of civil servants and public sector employees

The government will index by 5.5% the salaries of civil servants, public sector employees and civilian employees of military units in Russia from October 1. This follows from resolutions Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, published on the official portal of legal information.
“Take measures to increase from October 1, 2023 by 5.5% <...> remuneration of employees of federal government, budgetary and autonomous institutions; workers <...> government bodies, as well as civilian personnel of military units, divisions and <...> executive authorities,” the document specifies.
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decree on increasing the salaries of diplomatic workers by 5.5% from October 1.
In the draft federal budget for 2024 and the planning period 2025-2026. The government reported that the salaries of most civil servants next year would not be indexed. The exceptions included public sector employees – employees in the fields of healthcare, social security, education and culture.
