Thus, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko no longer coordinates the work of the Federal Tourism Agency. Instead, he will supervise the Ministry of Economic Development on the development and implementation of state policy in the field of tourism. Also, on the construction of objects of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”, he will coordinate the work of the Ministry of Construction.
In addition, Mishustin clarified the duties of the first deputy chairman of the government of the Russian Federation, Andrei Belousov. Belousov will continue to monitor the work of the Ministry of Economic Development, however, issues related to the implementation of state policy in the areas of tourism and the development of artificial intelligence technologies will be outside his competence. A similar decision was made with regard to Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, who coordinates the activities of the Ministry of Construction.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Decree on the abolition of Rostourism on October 20. Its functions were transferred to the Ministry of Economic Development.
