The portfolio of the Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission on Investment Cooperation includes 79 projects worth over $165 billion. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the relevant data at a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Despite the unfavorable external situation, turbulence in global markets and increasing sanctions, trade and economic cooperation between Russia and China is developing successfully, the Russian prime minister stressed. Investment cooperation between the two states, according to Mr. Mishustin, is given priority.
According to data published on the portal VEB.RF, The Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission for Investment Cooperation was established in 2014 on the initiative of the heads of state. The main objective of the project is to promote the implementation of investment projects in the non-energy sector and reduce administrative and trade barriers between the two countries.
