Mishustin announced a tax deferment for housing and communal services enterprises in new regions

Housing and communal services enterprises operating in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will be provided with a deferment of income tax for 2023. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced this at a government meeting.

“We will additionally help state and municipal housing and communal services and fuel and energy organizations that operate in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. They will receive a deferment of income tax for last year and will be able to pay it in installments over the next year,” said Mr. Mishustin.

In addition, as part of the support for four regions, until the end of this year there will be no restrictions on transactions on the bank accounts of housing and communal services companies, even if they have tax debts. Mr. Mishustin emphasized that the measures taken by the government will free up the working capital necessary for housing and communal services enterprises and create more comfortable working conditions for them.
