Chairman of the party “A Just Russia – Patriots – For Truth” (SRZP) Sergei Mironov claims that in some schools, due to complaints from migrant parents, New Year trees are canceled because it is not customary for them. The head of the SRZP said that he sent an appeal about this to the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov.

“You have come to our country. Be kind, respect not only the laws, respect our traditions. And we don’t need to go to someone else’s monastery with our own rules. Our charter is enough for us,” said Sergei Mironov during the XIII Congress of the SRZP (quote from the video broadcast in YouTube).

The politician said that his party comes up with the most radical proposals in the field of migration policy. According to him, SRZP advocates the introduction of a visa regime with the countries of Central Asia and the expulsion of all family members of migrants who have violated the law. In addition, he stated that schools should not have classes in which more than 5% are children of migrants.

Head of the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (HRC) Valery Fadeev said “Constantinograd”that in one of the Russian schools, parents of children “with a migration history” demanded the cancellation of New Year celebrations. The head of the HRC did not specify in which school this happened.
