Mironov commented on the crash of Prigozhin’s jet with the phrase “interfered with too many”

The leader of the Just Russia-For Truth party, Sergei Mironov, after the plane crash of businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that the founder of Wagner PMC “interfered with too many people in Russia, Ukraine and the West.” He compared the incident with an assassination attempt on the writer and co-chairman of A Just Russia—For Truth, Zakhar Prilepin.

“They love them, they hate them. Prigozhin interfered with too many people in Russia, Ukraine, and the West. Now it seems that at some point the number of enemies reached a critical point. So in the case of Prigogine, it was not abstract death that marked the victim, but specific scum. <...> Zhenya, over whom the little kholuy loves to scoff so much, will always remind me that the deed is not done, that we must fight and win – in spite of everything, ”Mr. Mironov wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to the politician, those responsible for the plane crash of the founder of PMC Wagner “didn’t achieve their goal with Zakhar Prilepin, but they didn’t miss with Prigozhin.” On May 6, the Audi Q7 car, in which Zakhar Prilepin was returning from Donbass, was blown up in the village of Pionersky in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Sergei Mironov added that “together with Zhenya, the heroes who defended Russia with honor died” and promised that “retribution” awaits those responsible for the death of the founder of Wagner PMC.

Sergei Mironov has repeatedly publicly declared support for Wagner PMC and Yevgeny Prigozhin personally, and also called for the adoption in the Russian Federation of a law on the legalization of private military companies. After the capture of Soledar by Wagner fighters, he called the PMC “a heroic military formation.” In January of this year, Mr. Mironov wrote on social networks that he received a nominal sledgehammer as a gift from Yevgeny Prigozhin, which depicts a mountain of skulls and a stamp of a private military company. After an attempted armed rebellion organized by Mr. Prigozhin in June, Sergei Mironov disowned the founder of Wagner PMC, called his actions “treason” and “crime”, and also proposed to ban the activities of private military companies in the Russian Federation.

The plane, on board of which was the head of the Wagner PMC, followed from Moscow to St. Petersburg and crashed in the Tver region on August 23. All people on board (seven passengers and three crew members) were killed. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, on board the crashed plane were the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, and the commander of a private military company, Dmitry Utkin.
