The leader of the political party “A Just Russia – For the Truth” Sergei Mironov addressed the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin with the initiative to move some non-working days from January to May. This was reported by the press service of the parliamentarian.
As noted, Mironov sent an official letter to Mishustin. According to him, some Russians during the January holidays cannot spend time with the benefit of their families, in addition, cases of alcohol abuse are growing.
Also, every year in the country there is a request from citizens to transfer the New Year holidays to the May holidays, the politician added.
Recall that the proposal to reduce the New Year holidays is not the first time. In particular, earlier State Duma deputy Maxim Ivanov said that the New Year holidays should be reduced, and days off should be distributed evenly, by three days. Also, the head of the State Duma committee on social policy, Yaroslav Nilov, commenting on this proposal, clarified that reducing the number of days off for the New Year should be discussed.
