Mintsifra: the transition of the USE information system to Russian technologies will take up to three years

The state information system (GIS) of the Unified State Examination will completely switch to Russian technologies within two to three years. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev at the final board of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

“We are with Rosobrnadzor in a high degree of elaboration of the restart of the creation of the GIS Unified State Examination. I hope that this year we will launch, and within 2-3 years we will modernize the platform and transfer it to Russian technologies, ”he said (quote according to TASS).

Shadayev noted that all the necessary resources for this are available.

In November 2022 Minister declaredthat Russia has achieved digital sovereignty. According to him, this happened due to the withdrawal of foreign companies from the Russian market against the backdrop of the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine. Now the niches occupied by foreign solutions will be replaced by domestic products, Shadayev added.

In Russia, there is a Federal information system for ensuring the state final certification (FIS GIA) of students and the admission of citizens to educational institutions. Also in the country there is a Federal database of certificates of the results of the Unified State Examination (FBS), which is included in the subsystem of the FIS GIA and the admission “Results of the Unified State Examination”
