The Ministry of Digital Transformation does not confirm the leakage of biometric data from the scientific research institute Voskhod subordinate to it, the press service of the department reported. transmits Interfax.
“The fact of the leak has not been confirmed. The data is not posted on the network, ”they said.
At the same time, “anomalous activity” was recorded from the internal network of the research institute, the department admitted, but emphasized that all data is stored in encrypted form, so illegal access to them is impossible. An internal audit is being carried out jointly with the FSB, the Ministry of Digital Development added.
Earlier reports of a leak on the network said that the database of the state system of new generation passport and visa documents (PNDP) from 2006 allegedly got into the network.
According to Kaspersky Lab, the leaders in the number of leaks in 2022 are become retail and food delivery companies. In total, last year there were 168 publications of significant databases of Russian organizations. More than 2 billion records were publicly available – almost 300 million user data.
