Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus reportedthat as a result of the work done with the assistance of Russia and Qatar, 43 citizens of the republic were evacuated to the territory of Egypt, from where they will be sent to their homeland.

“To date, 43 people have passed through the Rafah border crossing into Egyptian territory. They are expected to return to their homeland in the near future,” the message says.

Earlier today, adviser to the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Daniil Martynov told in a conversation with Komsomolskaya Pravda that Russia is helping Belarus in the issue of evacuating citizens from Gaza. In Egypt, Russian specialists will provide them with the necessary assistance, after which they will be transported to Moscow by Russian planes. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov stated in turn, that Russia helps citizens of the Russian Federation, the CIS and even other countries who have asked for help in evacuating from the Gaza Strip.

On November 12, the first group of 70 Russians left the Gaza Strip through the Rafah checkpoint on the border with Egypt. The next day they were taken to Moscow. The second group of evacuated Russian citizens arrived in Russia on the night of November 15, with 98 Russians on board. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that on November 14, the third group of Russian citizens, consisting of 40 people, also crossed the Rafah checkpoint. As previously reported by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, all Russians are planned to be removed from the enclave within a week.
