Ministry of Labor: more than 40 payments, benefits and compensations will be indexed by 11.9% from February 1

From February 1, it is planned to index over 40 different payments, benefits and compensations in Russia, informs Ministry of Labor. A number of payments will be indexed by 11.9%.
Payments will increase by almost 12%:
- a one-time allowance for the birth of a child;
- monthly allowance for child care;
- maternity capital;
- monthly cash payment to veterans;
- monthly insurance payment and other social support measures.
The size of the mother’s capital for the first child will grow to almost 587 thousand rubles, which is 62.5 thousand rubles. more than in 2022. The capital for the second child will amount to almost 775.6 thousand rubles. This is 82.5 thousand rubles. more than last year.
Finance Minister Anton Siluanov in May appreciated budget spending on a ten percent indexation of social payments for 2022 and 2023 in the amount of 1.6 trillion rubles. In September, the Ministry of Labor offered increase the cost of living for 2023 to 14,375 rubles, and the minimum wage to 16,242 rubles. The ministry noted that raising the subsistence level will increase monthly payments for 15 million Russians.
As of January 1, the subsistence minimum per capita was 12,654 rubles, for the able-bodied population – 13,793 rubles, for pensioners – 10,882 rubles, for children – 12,274 rubles. On June 1, the subsistence minimum was increased by 10%.
