Ministry of Labor: more than 40 payments and compensations will be indexed from February 1

Over 40 different payments, benefits and compensations are planned to be indexed by 7.4% from February 1, 2024. This was reported on Monday, January 15, by the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.
The department referred to the draft government resolution “On approval of the indexation coefficient for payments, benefits and compensation in 2024.”
According to the head of the Ministry of Labor, the indexation of benefits, compensation and social payments will affect over 20 million Russians.
Earlier it was reported that Russia was among the top five countries in 2023 with the most noticeable increase in pensions in real terms. In terms of the growth rate of such payments, our country is even ahead of the United States, second only to Turkey, Mexico, Belgium and Spain.
At the same time, 59% of Russians who took part in the study of the analytical center NAFI, in 2024 hope for a salary increase. These are mainly young people aged 25–34 years (almost 70%) and employees of government agencies (64%).
