Ministry of Internal Affairs: the number of those who received citizenship of other countries has doubled

About 68 thousand Russians received citizenship or residence permits of other countries in 9 months. This is twice as much as in 2022. These figures are provided by TASS with reference to the press center of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The department also clarified which countries those leaving most often applied for permanent residence in. The list of preferences includes Israel, Turkey, Armenia, Germany, USA, UAE, Ukraine, Spain, Finland, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Cyprus. The same states were popular a year earlier.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 30 thousand people reported that they had documents for the right of permanent residence in a foreign country, 38 thousand reported that they had citizenship of other countries.
